Circle around the Northern part of China by train starting from Beijing. After visiting the old capital discover the marvelous Yungang Grottoes in Datong. Take a rest in the Pingyao ancient old town. Keep riding the train to reach Xian and the Eighth Wonder of the World. On your way back to Beijing, you make the last stop of the trip, Luoyang. There, meet Shaolin students learning the ancient art of Kungfu. Price is on 6 people group basis.


DAY 1: Beijing

Upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport, our guide will wait for you at the arrival hall and then you will be transferred to the hotel. The balance of the day will be at leisure.

DAY 2: Beijing

While fixing your eyes on this huge Tiananmen Square, symbol of historical changes in China, be sure to also soak up the Chinese patriotic atmosphere. Pass the Tiananmen Gate and begin the tour of Forbidden City. Stroll between the walls steeped in history and this huge imperial palace touched by the footsteps of emperors from past Chinese dynasties. Then, forget the liveliness of the city and enjoy the quiet of Beihai Park, former imperial garden. Finally, relax for a while in the Shichahai area. You can buy some souvenirs, sit at a café or listen to the old talk or sing.

DAY 3: Beijing

Today, get away on the most adventurous site of Great Wall at Jinshanling. During a trek on the Jinshanling Great Wall with few tourists, discover exceptional landscapes. By late afternoon, you will head back to Beijing.

DAY 4: Beijing

This morning, meet the faithful Buddhist in the Yonghe Lama Temple. This Lamasery is still active and considered the most beautiful Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet. As you ride in a rickshaw in the Hutongs, prepare to dive deeper into this unique atmosphere of old Beijing. When eating a typical Beijing Hutong meal made by yourself, you will learn about the customs and traditional ways of life in these neighborhoods. After then, go visit the architectural treasures of the largest imperial garden in China, the Summer Palace. There is even a chance for a short cruise on the calm Kunming Lake. After visiting the Summer Palace, go to the Pearl Factory where the ancient culture of freshwater pearls will reveal its secrets, which traces back to how these beads began being processed 2,200 BC. It’s time for an evening at the Peking Opera. You will then plunge into the legends of ancient China. Before that, enjoy one of the most delicate Chinese cuisine dishes: the Beijing Roast Duck, during your early diner.

DAY 5: Beijing - Datong

Early morning, spend a few hours hunting in the largest flea market in Beijing, the Panjiayuan Antique Market. Then, experience a tour back to a time of ancient worship by visiting the Temple of Heaven. A shrine of Heaven and symbol of Beijing, the Temple is believed to be as important as the Forbidden City, or even more. This afternoon, take a stroll on the Qianmen Street, ancient shopping street of Beijing traditional stuffs. Before your walk, climb on the Zhengyang Tower and admire the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square extending to the north. Tonight, you will take the flight to Datong. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel.

DAY 6: Datong

Today, visit one of the most beautiful grottoes of China, the Yungang Grottoes. The 252 caves contain treasures and are known as a World Heritage Site. Then, go to the south of Datong to see the few remaining halls of Shanhua Temple.

DAY 7: Datong - Wutai

This morning, discover the spectacular Hanging Temple, Taoist sacred monastery located 50 meters above the Jinlong Canyon's gorge. Then, visit an architectural masterpiece that challenges all laws: the Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County. After this experience, you will be driven to the Mount Wutai, you will first check in the hotel at the foot of the Mount Wutai and you will begin your exploration on next day.

DAY 8: Wutai

Spend the day soaking up the atmosphere of this sacred and the most important Buddhist Mountain in China. Climb to new spiritual heights while visiting Mount Wutai and its surrounding temples, listed by UNESCO.

DAY 9: Wutai - Pingyao

Today, head to Pingyao and discover the lifestyle in the Ming and Qing dynasties through the walls of the Old City of Pingyao. Tonight you overnight in a charming traditional inn in Pingyao.

DAY 10: Pingyao - Xian

You spend the day outside of Pingyao. First, visit Shuanglin temple and admire 26 arms Guanyin statue. Go to south of Pingyao to visit the Wang Family Compound, one of the most exceptional old residence in northern China. Not far from there, take a stroll in the maze of Zhangbi castle. Your guide will drive you to the train station in late afternoon. Take a bullet train to Xian and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.

DAY 11: Xian

This morning, visit the eighth wonder of the world, the Terracotta Army. From the passage of the door, prepare to marvel at the craziest project by the first emperor of China. The real size of the Terracotta Warriors will definitely leave you speechless and make your Xian tour unforgettable. At lunch, indulge in the delicacy offered in a local restaurant, the Dumpling Dinner in Xian. Enjoy these dumplings with meat or vegetables stuffing. In the afternoon, visit the Bell Tower orDrum Tower of Xian to have a breathtaking view on the four main streets of Xian. Have a break in the Gao’s Courtyard and view a shadow play. Thus, immerse yourself in the Hui culture by visiting the Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter.

DAY 12: Xian - Luoyang

Dive into the history of the province of Shaanxi. The huge Shaanxi History Museum is a treasure of China that leaves you speechless. Then, go a few miles outside of city wall and discover the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, stop at a Jade Factory, the Chinese favorite treasure. Visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the finest pagodas in Xi'an and take a small class about chinese calligraphy. Late afternoon, your guide will drive you to the train station. Take a bullet train to Luoyang and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.

DAY 13: Luoyang

Today, head to the Shaolin Temple, nestled in the Song Mountain. This Buddhist temple is father of Kung Fu. In the afternoon, choose your preference to visit the Mount Song by cable car or on foot.

DAY 14: Luoyang - Beijing

This morning, go to see the impressive Longmen Grottoes. Visit one of the three largest caves in China and let you be touched by the delicacy of these works of art from another time. Then, visit the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple in China and the cradle of the Buddhist religion. Your guide will drive you to the train station in the middle of the afternoon. Take a bullet train to Beijing and be transferred to Beijing Capital Airport to take your flight back.
